Synopsis

I take privilege to present the edited volume “Sanskriti and Science: Perspectives on the Indian Knowledge System,” which brings together a wide spectrum of scholarly contributions from academic faculty, industry experts and students exploring the depth and contemporary relevance of IKS.

The diversity of papers and contribution of 115 authors reflects the richness of themes and the academic passion of our contributors. The book covers domains as varied as Ayurveda, Vastu Shastra, Leadership Studies, Cosmology, Feminist Perspectives, Education, Sustainability, Arts, and Literature, highlighting the truly multidisciplinary nature of the Indian Knowledge System.

I extend my heartfelt appreciation to all the esteemed authors and researchers whose original and insightful works form the backbone of this volume. Your dedication to exploring and reinterpreting IKS has not only enriched this publication but also strengthened the vision of integrating traditional knowledge into contemporary academic discourse, as emphasized by the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

As the Editor-in-Chief, I sincerely thank the Associate Editor and Head of IKS Cell Mr. Aditiya Hemantrao Akolkar for his unwavering dedication to bring this idea into the reality, Chairman Dr. Avinash Brahmadevara, Principal Dr. YSS Savitri Devi, contributors, and the management of Avinash College of Commerce for their constant support and encouragement. I sincerely acknowledge sincerely thank the HOD Dr. Uma Bakshi for writing an effective preface for the book.

With best regards

Dr. Zaker Ul Oman
