Top Scopus-Indexed Book Publishers
For researchers who want to boost an academic's work for a far bigger impact and influence, a Scopus indexed publisher can be a game changer both in the academic's standing and influence in their field. The academic book market is undergoing a transition; it is well known that the digital revolution and open access initiatives are transforming ways of disseminating scholarly works to an international audience (Butler et al., 2023; Clark & Phillips, 2008; Gilbert, 2015). Scopus indexed publishers are prompted to keep up with the best continuing standards in academic integrity as well as changes with emerging review and publication methodologies and technologies (Greco et al., 2013; Schiffrin, 2001; Thompson, 2021; Vasileiou et al., 2009). We rely on a research methodology which is based on a comprehensive framework with eight parameters: academic prestige, published papers, social impacts of academic research, subject-based influence, international cooperation and open access publishing, research policy and others. Different weighted scores with a point range of 1–10 is given to each parameter and academic prestige has been given more weight due to its linkage with academic impact, and data of whom gathered from various trusted sources like Scopus, Web of Science, JSTOR, WorldCat and university courses, etc. Starting from 50 publishers in the dataset we used quantitative instruments and quality considerations to identify the top ten performers, in such a way that our results expressed actual academic strength, not commercial forces.
