Synopsis

Announcing some important and potentially disruptive changes to regional risk that can impact an operational system’s risk profile and its operations in real time, a risk-aware operational system architecture is proposed. The principal goal of this architecture is to support the design, construction, and ongoing operation of such systems. A risk-aware operational system architecture extends a domain-specific operational system architecture with operational system, risk, and external environmental change metrics. These metrics provide the ability to model an operational system’s behavior as changes emanating from the external environment travel through the system and may impact any of its own components, behaviors, and attributes.
