Synopsis

Risk identification determines and characterizes the risks that might affect the achievement of the organization’s objectives. Risk identification, followed by risk assessment, is considered the foundation of the entire risk management process. The goals of these activities are to identify and describe the sources of risk, the potential events, and their impacts on the achievement of the organization’s objectives.
