Synopsis

Driven by the ongoing digital transformation of society fueled by an exploding demand for cloud services, an increasing number of companies and enterprise organizations invest heavily in the acquisition, planning, and construction of data centers as new global engine rooms. In addition to the original owners, dedicated hyperscale cloud service providers such as Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and Alibaba also operate several data centers throughout the world and lease additional data center capacity to many customers. These data centers are built with robust architectural engineering features and operated with well-defined operational practices, allowing both the service and facility providers to deliver the services at a large scale with the best-of-class operational efficiency, cost, and resilience characteristics.
