Synopsis
Governance might be defined as the rules and processes that shape the interaction of the agents of an organization (state or non-state) with their environment. The differential impact of governance on the organization’s performance is widely acknowledged. It has become increasingly evident that more effective governance of corporations, multilateral institutions, global finance, and even philanthropic organizations can contribute to improving their performance.
