Synopsis

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a fast-transforming classroom that is substituting the conventional forms of teaching with the system of adaptation and data-driven teaching. Although the majority of debates revolve around school policies or even the technical design, this book is based on the student perspective of the artificial intelligence tools in education that is solely on the main stakeholders, the students. This edited book is an anthology of studies and thoughts on how contemporary students find their way into, embrace, and question AI in the educational experience.

The chapters discuss the interaction of students with platforms such as intelligent tutoring, recommendation engines and chatbots. It takes a close look at how such issues as the tech-readiness, easy access, and language aspects contribute to the readiness of a student to adopt these tools. Though these applications have potential to enhance individual learning and effectiveness, they produce huge student anxieties. The book directly tackles issues of student anxiety regarding data privacy, bias in algorithms, fairness in automated grading, and the anxiety of being continuously spied upon and monitored by AI.

In sum, this reading can act as a guide to teachers, profile editors, and scholars who attempt to reconcile the needs of technology and the safety of students. It addresses the threats of digital divide, and danger of over-reliance on automation, stating clearly that a human teacher could never have its full substitute. The book states that to demonstrate that AI has a sustainable future in education institutions should construct systems that are not discriminatory, transparent, and vigilant on privacy.
