IoT Data Integration and Edge-to-Cloud Intelligence

The vast scale at which the Internet of Things (IoT) is deployed generates an unprecedented volume of data, from tiny sensor readings in chips hosted in remote or hostile environments to high-resolution images helping to pilot long-haul aircraft. This information deluge captured from even the most remote deployed sensors creates opportunities for companies and governments to enhance services and enable new implementations. Solutions range widely in type and spatial/temporal density, and consequently differing data integration trajectories are required. A closer investigation of these trajectories reveals similarities that can be articulated within a consistent framework.
